Team Leader
This is an instructional position for a single class in grades 1-8. This position will collaborate with the Program Manager in the development and execution of the day-to-day operations of the after school program in cooperation with Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) while supporting the mission and values of the employer, Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center (the Center). Highly desirable: experience playing sports (soccer, basketball, football, track & field, cheer, and/or dance). Interesting hobbies in visual/performing arts, photography, create/maintain websites, computer graphics, chess, etc.
These schools have high Spanish and Hmong speaking populations so multi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Starts at $10.00 per hour
Minimum qualifications: At least 48 from an accredited university, ability to clear a background check and TB test, and reliable source of transportation.

Reading Tutor
The Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center is recruiting 20-25 candidates for part-time employment at four Sacramento City Unified School District elementary schools (Pacific, Maple, John Still and C. P. Huntington). Candidates will participate in a United Way grant funded project working with first through third grade students in the after-school program who are reading below the proficient level. Candidates will work with identified students in small groups to improve literacy benchmarks and promote a love of reading and learning. Candidates will also collaborate with teachers from regular day classes to ensure intervention synergy and document observations.
These schools have high Spanish and Hmong speaking populations so multi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Salary $10.00 per hour
Suggested schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm (16 hours per week)
