Supporters
The success of our agency relies on the support of our community. Our quality programs have quadrupled from 1998 to 2004, thanks to the generous support of numerous California and Sacramento-area businesses, as well as individuals who give both financial support and volunteer time.
What would you like to give? Your generous donation and time will make a big difference to the lives of the elderly, disadvantaged families, and at-risk youth. For some ideas on what you can give, see our wish_list.
If you would like to support or volunteer at the Center, please contact us at info@sccsc.org
We thank our supporters for being a part of the Center.

Few social service programs can point to as many successes or as much recognition as the the Center has achieved. We have been recognized for excellence by United Way, The California Mentoring Foundation and the Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA).
- United Way California Capital Region presented the Center with the Gloria Rose Memorial Grant Award (June 2002). This award is presented annually to recognize an agency that has achieved outstanding results on outcomes, and embraces United Ways vision for building stronger, healthier, more compassionate communities.
- The California Mentor Foundation selected the Center's mentoring program to receive the distinguished Spirit of Mentoring Award for the third year in a row. This honor is given to exemplary community-based mentor programs and is given to only four programs in the state. Californias First Lady Sharon Davis presented this award to the agency at the National Mentor Conference in Anaheim, Calif. on October 17, 2001.
- At their 77th annual Awards and Recognition Dinner in June 2001, the United Way California Capital Region presented the Center with the Outstanding Grant Partner Award for providing an innovative, integrated program that addresses multiple needs for youth and families struggling with cultural barriers, (while) promoting success and improved family functioning.
- Sacramento Employment and Training Agency (SETA) gave the Center's youth program the highest rank for proposals in the category of Family Self-Sufficiency (October 2001). Their review stated "The program not only consistently exceeded their contracted service requirements, but has established an integrated system of coordination and affiliation with other organizations to insure that comprehensive services are available to
- families and their children."
