Tobacco Education & Prevention
Tobacco is the number one cause of preventable disease and death. The Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center’s (the Center) mission is to reduce chronic diseases associated with tobacco use and secondhand smoke in the greater Sacramento area. Our organization works to empower the community to make healthy and informed choices about tobacco usage. Our success is only possible through grassroots collaboration in the community. With the support of community leaders, parents and schools, well over 40 youth from Sacramento's underserved schools are putting their leadership skills to work by advocating for smoke-free communities.
